Objectives

  • Produce a model of:

    • Horizontal Ultra-Democratic Cooperative development

    • Degrowth writ clothing manufacturing. This means producing less, while simultaneously producing with parity to the complex variations of the human body. Building our own fabric cutter and making everything ourselves, never outsourcing, keeps the trap of mandatory minimums enforced by mass producers shut. In our assessment this is the clearest path to the end of over-production.

    • A technology that can improve the lives of garment workers globally. This is prioritized over other forms of manufacturing due to the efficacy of and low cost to entry into garment making in rural contexts and in the global south.

    • Small scale garment fabrication that can generate a garment in a total time of 5 minute or less. To meet the complexity of our diverse collective needs with respect to any given garment we need to be efficient and organized. Working in digital fashion gives us a head start.

    • Alternative garment production cycle which can finally meaningfully address the issues Fat, Trans and Disabled people have loooong been identifying when it comes to fast fashion—systematically.
